430 Point Chevalier Road

430 Point Chevalier Road is a prestigious development offering luxury townhouses by the beach. These homes feature sleek, contemporary architectural designs with high-end facades, generous 2.7m lounge ceiling heights, and stone interior finishes. Located in a serene residential area, the townhouses provide a quality harbourside address with access to quiet streets and picturesque walks along a Pōhutukawa-shaded beach, boasting stunning views of Waitematā Harbour. 

CMP Living, the developer of 430 Pt Chevalier Road, sought a fencing system that would complement the high-end aesthetic of the townhouses while providing perimeter demarcation for the property. The fencing needed to be durable, low-maintenance, and capable of withstanding the coastal environment’s conditions. 

StabiFence was chosen for this project due to its superior qualities and suitability for upscale residential developments. StabiFence is a solid, modular fencing system known for its strength, durability, and visual appeal. It is designed to offer a polished and modern look, aligning perfectly with the architectural style of 430 Pt Chevalier Road. 

Functionally, StabiFence had to be bolted to the top of a concrete retaining wall. Unlike other fencing systems that would have required a custom solution, the versatility of StabiFence allowed for an easy installation using posts with a welded base plate. These posts could be bolted directly to the existing concrete retaining wall without additional footings.  

Additionally, CMP Living chose to utilise two slats at the top of the fencing system to increase permeability and create a more open and inviting space. 

StabiWood, the material used in StabiFence, is a composite of recycled wood fibres and plastic, making it highly durable and resistant to corrosion, ideal for New Zealand’s weather conditions and coastal environments. It offers the look and feel of natural timber but with added benefits, such as clean. Additionally, StabiWood requires no staining or painting, reducing long-term maintenance costs. It is also equipped with UV stabilizers to combat fading and anti-mould agents to protect against rot and decay. 

The installation of StabiFence at 430 Pt Chevalier Road was executed efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to the construction timeline. The modular nature of StabiFence allowed for quick and precise installation, fitting perfectly with the project’s high standards and ensuring that it would remain an asset to the property for years to come.
